ART EDUCATION @ SPARC
SPARC has over a thirty year history of working in Art Education in the communities of Los Angeles and other sites nationally and internationally. We have specialized in work with at risk adolescents and have developed art curriculum at all levels including University graduate and undergraduate students and teacher training. Contact us for Visual Arts curriuculum development for your school or community. Special workshops are available for groups upon request.
Currently at SPARC's facility in Venice, training and teaching is occurring on a daily basis at elementary and middle school levels through the program of 826LA a drop-in tutoring writing lab, on a high school level with our OTEAM collaboration with Otis School of Art & Design in digital imaging technology and on a university level with our classes for undergraduate students of UCLA in our UCLA/SPARC Cesar Chavez Digital Mural/Lab, a teaching, research and production facility.
New Workshop Digital Imaging for Artists (coming soon)
These weekend workshops offers artist the opportunity to work in the
UCLA/SPARC lab with the assistance of trained Photoshop, Maya, Quark,
instructors. artists are encouraged to bring a project they would like
to complete. Arists will be accepted from beginning to
intermediate level. Printing options of final projects as giglees will be possible
in large scale format on a Epson or HP 9000 for a per print charge. Call for pricing.
